hey guys... where is the cheapest place to get racing seats... like the real ones, the folded aluminum ones, not a recaro or sparco suede thing.

also, is 100 bucks a good price on a 5 gallon fuel cell with baffle?

i'm trying to put together a list of the racing parts for the fiat (the expensive parts) and need some info on that stuff. if any of you bracket racers or high end racers have a seat or cell for sale... let me know

There is a shop somewhere towards Rogersville. They fab cages and stuff. My friend got two Kirkey aluminum seats for under $250.

I'm getting either Sparco Evo's or the cf Sparco's whatever their called.

that's still fairly expensive for what i'm doing. i have a feeling i'm going to end up making a fiberglass shell and doing a le mans trick with two part foam and a rubbermade tote

will it pass tech?

yes, it's structural fiberglass with a foam sculpted seat pattern. passes FIA standards for closed cockpit racing, so i'm sure it will pass tech at the NASA hill climbs and the GRM event
