Hey everyone, keep your eyes open for good pavement in the NE Tennessee area. We may be having a tough time getting up that way this year due to site issues.

I'm sure if anyone knew of anything, the suggestion would have already been made, but if anyone sees any pavement that looks promising, post up.

What about the Elizabethton high school parking lot? I know you guys have had events there before.

The fee for Bristol went up (way up) and it isn't a viable option. We are thinking of maybe having one event there knowing that we will lose money on it, but I doubt we will have the usual 4 events there. Don't get me wrong, ETR doesn't make money - we are non profit - but the money that we lose could have went to new timing equipment, new trailer, etc. (stuff to allow us to run better events)

Elizabethton High is not a bad lot, but they want us to re paint the parking stripes now after everytime we run there. So that's why we don't go there. We can check back in with them though - maybe they are under new management.

Has anyone ever considered the large Freedom Hall parking lot on the Science Hill campus? I haven't been there in a long ass time so I can't remember if it has speed bumps or not. I know it has a few light poles, but if they are scarce enough, a course could be laid out to avoid them.

Thanks for the suggestion. If Wal Mart still has anything to do with the lot, we won't be allowed. I will see if someone can check it out.
