Took the car over to The Shop again this evening to see how much power the car would make with a leaner tune. Turns out it's still having the issue of falling on its face after 4000rpm, it's becoming quite the annoyance to say the least. Anywho, turned the boost up to 13lbs and the car made: 449hp/669(I think, somewhere around that) torque Peak horsepower was at 3900-4000rpm and torque was in the 3xxxrpm range as well. Hopefully the bigger exhaust housing will fix my issues but I don't know anymore really, we'll see. I guess it can only get better from here! I didn't get a print out, but I did take a look at the graph with the video camera, upload that later.:nice:

Yep get that housing changed and then we go make big #s. Maybe I will have something else don to mine and we can go back together again. Have to unhook the mufflers again when we go back.LOL

Damn Dave I didn't think you were going to be putting out numbers that high:headbang: That's badass

Haha, yep we'll def have to go dyno again. Had a fun time tonight hanging with everyone at The Shop and after. Scott helps out so much, awesome people over there.:nice:

Well it's making those numbers at 4000rpm so I think we can improve on them a good bit but the block sure isn't going to like it. What I want is to lower the boost back down to the 10psi range and get the car revving to 5200-5400 like it should. Hopefully it'll make about the same power(450ish rwhp) but on lower boost. We've decided near the end of the season we'll be turning it up to 15-20lbs to see if we can split the block! I think I'll use it as a coffee table or something if it splits, haha.

Fucker is making some torque. Are those real tq numbers this time or did it mess up again? Lol. Still smoking?

Well the torque numbers I'm not sure about since the dyno doesn't use an actual tach signal, I don't want to speak out of line because I don't know how accurate that dyno is on the torque readings without having a RPM signal but it never "messed up" I just think it could be a little high on the torque, again this is nothing more than me guessing based on other combos I've saw. I think on 10lbs the trq was 604 and 604 then on 13lbs it was 669. Take it for what it's worth, just numbers that don't mean a thing.;)
I think the smoke we were seeing was either from the PCV valve or something else because I haven't saw any in awhile. Not sure, we'll see how it likes 20psi in a few months though.:headbang:
Here is a picture taken from the video(sorry for the quality):

Why wouldn't it. V-8 and turbo with intake and Trick flow heads at 13lbs of boost. If it were making power at 5000-5500 like it should it would be mid 500s. We'll see with the bigger exhaust housing.

Nice #'s! Someone should inform me when cool shit like this is going down, would've liked to seen it dyno!
Sure you don't have a turbodiesel under the hood? :)

Sorry I didn't tell anyone because it was more of a random type thing and I was for sure it wasn't going to pull over 4000(which it didnt...pos) and didn't want everyone to see it make some terrible numbers. I think the torque will go down some(hopefully) with the bigger housing since it won't be coming on as fast as it did.

Congrats man... The #'s look good. If you can get that thing to pull on up in RPM you should have some pretty serious HP on you hands..

You seen wrong then, lol. Just your everyday run down fox in need of paint, it just happens to have a turbo on it and everyone likes it because of it.Haha:rotflmao:

Thanks! If/when we get it to pull up top I'll lower the boost back down to stay around 450-460rwhp for a few months. It's not bad for a bunch of old ford junk I guess, stock cam and a intake off a exploder, stock tb, blah blah blah. :)

The torque #'s on that dyno are as close as the ones that use a tach signal....The reason being is it takes the speed that the car or vehicle is going at 3000rpm(or when and what rpm you tell it that you want to start it at)This way it knows how many rpm you are turning it at what speed. Then you tell it how many rpm you are going to turn it so it knows how many you turned it...Cause not every car will go the same speed at the same RPM vs one with a tach signal just picking up your tach signal and seeing how fast you can spin the rollers....I have seen a rpm tach signal get lost 100's of times...I have yet to see this one lose one..Since it dont use one

I dont know crap about it, or your setup. But just by looking at the #'s I woulda said you were spraying it instead of Turbo'd... Thats a buttload of TQ bro... Hope you have lots of rear tires laying around.lol
