Bought it this morning. It's an 88Lx that has been converted to a Gt. Dosn't have a drivetrain right now but do's have an 8.8 rear-end under it. Set up with a harness for speed density but I will probably go carb on it. Will probably have some porno red interior for sale and maybe some other stuff when I get started on it. Good base for what I want to build any way.

Wow I have to put the saleen wing on. It looks worse in pictures without it. LOL. Got it and an extra door with the car.

I've had a bunch but all were dual duty street and race but this one will be a little more race oriented.

Nice, projects are fun as hell, regardless as what they start as. You'll love having a track only car that you can take and beat on & not worry about it breaking then having to fix immediately. Then people can jump in and say "it's a drag car!!! real cars are driven on the street, so what if it runs 4's, it's not streetable!!"
It happens, wait for it.

this is kind of what im afraid of on the trans am...i know there will be 20 people say well whats it run on motor whenim building a nitrous dedicated "non street car"it will have tags and insurance but will be 90% drag race only....

Ah, who cares what people say. I no longer have a fast street car, didn't seem to be much sense in trying to make it faster when I can just build onto the '88 T/A instead. Two timeslips that both say 5.9 at 120mph are the exact same, regardless of whether it's a streetable car or not, it STILL runs what it runs. Run a 10.5 sec street car vs 10.5 sec race car, tell me if there's a difference at the traps. If money allows, there's no reason NOT to build a track-dedicated car, why does it have to be dual duty to be approved fast by everyone else?

Bah. I hate mod motors in the cars they were designed for ; I can't imagine having to work on one of them in a swapped car.

Mod engines are great but I'm going to stick with a pushrod engine I guess. Parts are a lot cheaper and easier to find used parts cheap. Most of my old fox cars were built with my budies old parts and ran just as good as their new stuff.LOL

408- Pro comp heads-solid roller-150shot. I went 10.9x and 9.90 with this basic stuff. All the high dollar shit in the world is no good if the combination isn't right. I know this. Good luck Roger.
